Thank you for visiting our Stream Quality Monitoring website. Here, you will be able to learn about the purpose and history of this program, what parameters are analyzed and how samples are collected. You will also be able to view a map of the current sites that are being monitored, and view information about individual streams and watersheds.
This program was created to document the quality of our freshwater streams to ensure their continued health. Monitoring water quality is an important part of helping us determine whether or not we are making progress in cleaning up our waterways. It reveals the health and composition of streams, rivers, and lakes at a snapshot in time, as well as over weeks, months, and years.
